1) Why should I encourage my kids to yo-yo?

Yo-yoing offers many benefits to your child. It helps them build eye-hand coordination, confidence as they learn new tricks, and socialization skills as they perform those tricks for others. Best of all, yo-yos move kids away from the television and video games.

2) How much will it cost my child to get started?

New players and kids under seven will do best with the "Brain" yo-yo. This yo-yo has a special clutch which helps it to easily return to the hand. It comes in a variety of colors, and it handles the basic tricks well. It sells for $12.99. We recommend a trick book and some spare string with the Brain.

Other yo-yos offer different advantages depending on the type of tricks a player wants to do and their level of experience. 3) Do the kids stick with it, or do they put it in a drawer after a week?

Kids will keep on practicing with their yo-yo when they see all the tricks they can do with it. Like any new skill, they need support and practice. Kids can learn some basic tricks on our Tips and Tricks page. Finally, you can order instructional videos or any of the Yo-Yo trick books at our on-line store.

4) Why should I buy a $13 yo-yo if I don't know if my kids will like it?

Simply because the "Brain" is the easiest yo-yo to use on the market. It will allow them to do some of the beginning tricks quickly (such as Sleep, Walk the Dog, and Forward Pass) which contain skills they need to do advanced tricks. Early success keeps them interested in building their skills and using their yo-yo.
